happy songs for happy people

Mogwai (Scottish rock band from Glasgow, Scotland) LIVE at KLCC Hall 5 21st Jan 2008. Starts at 20:00hrs sharp. Another great event by Soundscape Records Malaysia. Yes, i'm not their biggest fan, but i do listen and bought their albums (CD aaa...not downloads ok) before. Well, there are a few good songs that i like but not all of them of course. Again, how can i missed them here, at Kuala Lumpur (besides, it's my off day). And this would be their first, to perform live at Malaysia. I've missed Explosions In The Sky before, thanks to my duty roster; i won't missed this one for sure. Basically, i want to enjoy myself and to have fun together with friends. So, there was me, Reynold (Mogwai's big fan), Clement, Keneng@Nexson and Rob (Gary's housemate from London).

Nexon, Clement, me, Robert and Reynold.

Noemi came along with us, but she had to go somewhere else. Well, it would be too noisy for her...unless it's a House Music kind of thing...

"charging"
we had to treat ourselves with some Scottish whiskey since we'll be watching a Scottish band (an excuse...alu lah juak)

"Tukang Sadong"

more beer please....

To be honest, i can't recall his name...the main guitarist....i had to call Reynold before i say "Hi" to him. I was a bit tipsy too (more than that actually)..."STUART! STUART!" says Rey on the phone. "Where are you?" i asked him, "Am on my way home" says Rey. "YOU WHAT?!".......

we had to take photo with the guy in Black...nice tie by the way

Meet new friends too..!

Another new friends...

Finale

I've really had a good time that night...nothing but happy common people enjoying themselves...a good start for 2009. It could be worse if we're at Glastonbury(i wish). After the concert, we went to George & Dragon; an English pub for a couple of pint. I think i had too much booze and got sick the next day. I should stop drinking. Naaaahhhh....! It made me happy. Always. And, i'm NOT AN ALCOHOLIC!

welcoming the Ox, the Rats are leaving

Here comes the NEW year again. Hopefully, it brings happiness, more joy, good health and luck. Things are seems moving, as good as ever. More challenges, tough road i guess. But that's the beauty of life, lots of fucking surprises. Rock n Rolla.

2008 wasn't that very pleasant. Despite all the great moments. Too slow and no movement and changes around. Such a dirty rats. Politics was useless. But the music and art scene were getting bigger and better at home. It left remarkable memories and experiences.

"The Cup of Death" (1885)
By Elihu Vedder (American artist, 1836-1923)
An illustration for the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, stanza XLIII:
'So when the Angel of the darker Drink
At last shall find you by the river-brink
And, offering his Cup, invite your Soul
Forth to your Lips to quaff - you shall not shrink.'

standby mode

here we go

Telebury's final Radio Interview and LIVE broadcast for 2008 at RTM Kuching Redfm 91.9 with DJ Vishnu (please dig him at myspace). Since, we were there in Kuching for holiday, so might as-well we do the interview and have fun. Sam, Aja and Gary of course, they were at Kuala Lumpur. Again, last minute...biasa lah... Me, Reynold and Steve came around 8:51:43pm, Clement was somewhere at 4th Mile as he played for his band Evenstarr for another Live shows supporting Yuna. He came a bit later...otherwise, it would be dull if it's just only me and Rey (kopi anan statement). Telebury's Live acoustic, would be sounded better with 3 guitar rather than 2 (hey, Clement's guitar line man..err kopi anan again). Steve was our un-official photographer, P.A and Bodyguard (Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!).

Jong's Crocodile Farm Kuching, Sarawak.

Main Entrance

Had a blasting time at Jong's Crocodile Farm Kuching, Sarawak. 15 minutes drive from my house, located somewhere around 17 Mile Kuching-Serian Road. To be honest, it was my first time there...hah! being local, you know-lah...Well, of course you'll get to see a lots of crocodiles that range in size from tiny babies, no-tailed crocs, albino, blind crocs to the saltwater monsters. Besides those ugly crocs, there's other exotic species too such as sun bears, monkeys, wild cats, deers, lizards, BABI HUTAN (good for BBQ) and fish. Entrance fees? RM10 for local Sarawakian and RM16 for foreigners. Don't ask me why...
