Blast from the Past

The article was written by our Malaysian Pioneer Underground scene, Joe Kidd for The Sun Papers. Yep, this is my band back in the 90's, Groover's Lum. We're just a bunch of high school kids trying hard to contribute our music into the underground scene back home. Nothing more, nothing less, just pure Britpop stoned-heads. I bet it's funny or ear-soaring to hear it again. It was a "LIVE" recording at Les Paul Music Studio for 50 Ringgit an hour. Yep, we did it in an hour. I think it was somewhere in mid 1995. I'm not sure. Don't expect the music, guitar work and the out-of-pitch voice was well recorded like these days.
A guy named Mohd. Zainol tagged me in Facebook today and i was like..."Holy S**t!" and .......i start to recall..and...recall the moment back then.
What can i say? I don't even have this article anymore. Maybe missing or it just been thrown away somewhere. I still have the "Master Tapes" or shall i say "Demo Tapes" thou. Sadly, i don't have the player for the tapes (cassette).
If it does some good impact or it pleased others ears, i would like to say "Thank You" for buying it from me through post and supporting us. If not, Thank You again...well...it doesn't bother me at all. At that time, we tried hard, we did it with fun and we love the music in the way what we want it to be. Hah! I bet people call it "shoegaze" by now. Thank you Joe. Thank you Zainol. It does brought back some good memories and it does meant so much to me and to the band.
